Chicago may be a sleek, sexy, Tony Award-winning Broadway musical revival, but when Nicole Scherzinger from the R&B-spiced pop group the Pussycat Dolls paid the cast a visit on March 10, the vibe at the Ambassador Theatre felt more like one of those ‘50s pulp novels, the kind with bodacious cover art and tantalizing titles.  Obviously, the Chicago crew have earned proverbial doctorates in the art of vamping, but they met their match in Scherzinger, whose career as a Pussycat Doll has caused the loosening of countless neck ties around the globe.
