It’s the holiday season for the Dahl family! The four adult children return to their childhood home with partners in tow. The Dahl traditions include singing carols in harmony at the drop of a hat, but the gathering is anything but harmonious. Old conflicts resurface, new issues battled, and dinner is taking absolutely forever to be served. Will the love the Dahls have for each other be enough to get them through, or will this be their last Christmas together?
"The acting, the singing, the dialogue, beautiful stage, it's timely subject matter for our era. Such an interesting and complex family with which so many diverse types of people can likely identify. "

"This play took a few hits for the second half, but the strong cast, music, themes, and timing of all actors made it a pleasure to watch. It underscores human frailty and how although we can't choose our relatives, we can choose to love them-- warts and all. Shailene Woodley was exceptional. See it while you can. "

"This was an excellent performance by an incredible cast. A lot of laughter was had, along with very sober moments from the reality of the trauma and sickness that affects many families. The singing and playing was amazing, even though this is not a musical. A very enriching experience!"

"There are several things to admire and celebrate about this production. The production design is out of this world. Some truly magnificent writing. Funny, poignant, and very real. Staging and direction is effective, creating wonderful tableaus of a family in crisis. The final section of the show fails to achieve the same heights as other sections due to a lack of energy and truth performance. Quinto struggles to find his place in the show especially when he is without the support of the rest of the cast. That said, the performances were spectacular, with standout moments all around especially from Colindrez, Bernard, and Shailene Woodley who, in my opinion, stole the show and deserves at least Tony consideration for her honesty and commitment. Gorgeous voice too! Would gladly see this again and again. "

"A perfect show for the Holiday season.
I loved all the actors! It was completely relatable for those of us who have had to attend family holiday meals whether you like it or not. Great character stories, and laugh out loud funny!"

"I had only heard brief descriptions, so I went in knowing little about the play. What I saw was absolutely incredible. Every player was remarkable in their own right. The juxtaposition in the writing and performance of gut-wrenching dialogue and clever hilarity kept me on my toes the entire time. An hour and a half went by in a moment. I’m not sure there are enough positive adjectives to describe it."

"This incredible playwrite, through these stunning actors, asks so many important questions of themselves, their families, and their spouses that the audience finds an answer and changes it over and over. The music was beautiful, at times hauntingly so, and integral to this family dynamic that it became a character. I am still, happily, mulling these big questions over on repeat. I love this play!"

"We thought the cast and acting was great but the story was a little too dark, serious and religious-based for us. We knew it was a show about a musical and dysfuntional family but thought it would lean more into the humor and music side vs family members who dislike each other and have deep mental issues. If you like dark comedies perhaps this is for you but its definitely not an uplifting, happy, Christmas show."
