Broadway’s most wildly inventive musical has just opened to once-in-a-lifetime raves! Based on a “that can’t actually be true” story about the outlaw-turned-corpse-turned-celebrity Elmer McCurdy, this New York Times Critic’s Pick is “the surprisingly feel-good musical of the season.” Time Out raves “this rollicking, darkly hilarious, thoroughly original musical will knock you dead,” and Entertainment Weekly cheers, “it needs to be seen to be believed!” Step right up and get tickets to “the best musical of the decade! Some good, some bad
"I have mixed feeling about the show. I loved that it was weird and had a strange story. The singing was excellent and the actors, in their multiple roles, were funny and fascinating. But the band music was so loud it drowned out many of the vocals. The band took up lots of the stage both physically and in terms of time and energy. As I thought about it I felt that it brought its off-Broadway style to Broadway and it just didn’t completely click. "
