Cynthia Nixon's Back on Stage with Distracted

Feeling unfocused at all these days? If so, The Roundabout Theatre Company is gearing up for a new production to steal your attention: playwright Lisa Loomer’s aptly titled Distracted, which starts previews at the Laura Pels Theatre on February 7. The story of a mother mining for the root of her possibly Attention-Deficit-Disorder-inflicted son’s problems, Distracted made its debut on the West Coast in March 2007. Now hitting New York City for the first time, the new production features a tight ensemble cast (led by Tony Award-winning Roundabout alum Cynthia Nixon) which got together with their playwright and director Mark Brokaw for a quick meet and greet on January 15.
