It was not a shock that John Patrick Shanley's Doubt won the 2005 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, but it sure was a nice touch for the often-produced playwright. Shanley is known for winning an Oscar for Moonstruck and for his many off-Broadway offerings, but Doubt is the playwright's first Broadway show. To celebrate the Pulitzer, the producing team, director Doug Hughes and star Cherry Jones warmly greeted Shanley on April 4 in front of the Walter Kerr Theatre, where Doubt plays. Cheers, Mr. Shanley!
