Dusk Rings a Bell Tickets

Molly and Ray unexpectedly meet 25 years after a one-afternoon adolescent fling. She has a successful media career; he owns a small landscaping business. Both begin to romanticize their chance reunion, but a renewed connection is disrupted when Ray discloses the details of a crime that left him incarcerated for 10 years. Their encounter reveals vastly different paths taken and two lonely souls attempting to reclaim a moment of possibility, when they were young—and perhaps at their very best.

Story

What Is the Story of Dusk Rings a Bell?
Ray and Molly are, in most ways, polar opposites. The former, a small-time landscaper in a sleepy beach community, is a man of few words and even fewer ambitions. The latter, a fast-rising PR powerhouse for the Washington D.C. branch of CNN, is an ambitious woman of nothing but words—many of them in reference to her life, loves, experiences and cereal choices. Lovers for a single steamy summer night during their teens, Ray and Molly are reunited 25 years after their first encounter when a bizarre souvenir from her past brings Molly back to the beach house where her family once vacationed. The pair’s happy meeting is derailed, however, by the admission of a horrific secret from Ray’s past—one that forces both characters to contemplate the path their lives have taken and how, or with whom, the journey will end.
