The 31-year old playwright Christopher Shinn continued his prolific streak on March 4 with the opening of
Dying City at Lincoln Center's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, the fifth new play he's had produced in New York in the past four years. The two-character drama, which explores the repercussions of the death of an American soldier in Iraq on his surviving brother and young wife, stars 2006 Tony nominee Pablo Schreiber (
Awake and Sing!) and recent Juilliard graduate Rebecca Brooksher. After the duo's opening night bows, we joined them, the author and the LCT-supporting crowd (including Pablo's brother Liev Schreiber and his mom-to-be girlfriend Naomi Watts) for a toast across the street at O'Neal's. Check it out.
