Story

Eureka Day is a private California elementary school with a Board of Directors that values inclusion above all else – that is, until an outbreak of the mumps forces everyone in the community to reconsider the school’s liberal vaccine policy. As cases rise, the board realizes with horror that they’ve got to do what they swore they never would: make a choice that won’t please absolutely everybody.

Bring a towel to dry your tears of laughter
"In a word: Fabulous; in an adverbial phrase: laugh-out-loud-hilarious (but not "hysterical"; that would be wrong!) Yet also extremely thought-provoking. This superbly written play somehow equally honors and skewers both sides of one of the most controversial issues of our day, skillfully--and poignantly--crafting the merits of each, while laying bare our shameful and shameless intolerance toward each other."

Hilarious treatment of a critical topic
"One of the best place I have ever seen. Superb cast, with a very witty script, delving into the dangers of the anti-science, anti-vaxxer crowd. A great send-up of “ limousine liberalism”. Best of all, the most hilarious scene could be enjoyed equally by hearing and and hearing-impaired people. Among the several hundred plays I have seen in my life, this one certainly ranks in the top 10. "

Just as good as it was in 2018!!! LOVE this show
"We saw this when it first premiered in Berkeley CA in 2018. It was hysterical then and just as much so now. When the pandemic hit, Eureka Day seemed amazingly relevant. And it is even more relevant now. Wonderful, wonderful show."

A real laugh out loud performance
"My wife, Lynn, and I throughly enjoyed Eureka Day. It was one of the best laugh out loud theater experiences we’ve had. The play deals with some serious issues in an intelligent yet humorous way. I highly recommend seeing Eureka Day."

Lots of laughter
"Hilarious . Was so impressed how it made fun of overly PC concerns and yet did a great job of being fair to both sides ....that takes a gifted writer."

One of the Best
"This play hit the spot. It made me think, it made me argue with myself and most refreshingly, made me laugh. Out loud! One of the best plays I’ve seen. Kudos to the writer and the actors. Really well done!"

"Altho!ugh the show was advertised for humor there was an important issue discussed, and done well."
