The three lead actors in the Broadway revival of
Faith Healer—Ralph Fiennes, Cherry Jones and Ian McDiarmid—provide plenty of star power eight times a week at the Booth Theatre. But the sentimental favorite at the play's opening night party, held on May 4 at Bryant Park Grill, was 77-year-old playwright Brian Friel. He congratulated the cast and director Jonathan Kent on breathing new life into his series of monologues about an itinerant faith healer (Fiennes), his wife (Jones) and his manager (McDiarmid). On a balmy night, guests relaxed over dinner and discussed Friel's thought-provoking drama. Broadway.com came along for the celebration.
