Peter Matthew Smith Reunites with Harvey Fierstein... in Anatevka

They're a long way from Baltimore! Peter Matthew Smith and Harvey Fierstein, who appeared together in Hairspray are now co-starring in an altogether different environment: the cozy Russian town of Fiddler on the Roof's Anatevka. We visited the friends backstage at the Minskoff Theatre on March 22, just as Smith was starting performances as Motel in Fiddler, which Fierstein is headlining as Tevye.
