Since his 2004 Tony-nominated turn as Tevye in
Fiddler on the Roof, Alfred Molina's been making most of his appearances in America at the multiplex. The burly British character actor, who has popped up in everything from
The Da Vinci Code to
Spider Man 2 to Kenneth Branagh's
As You Like It, returns to the New York stage next month in the U.S. premiere of
Howard Katz, a dark comedy about an aging Hollywood agent by Patrick Marber (
Closer). The Roundabout Theatre Company is producing at its off-Broadway Laura Pels Theatre, and on January 4, we were invited to their midtown Manhattan rehearsal studios to meet Mr. Molina and the rest of the very accomplished cast, which includes Euan Morton, Alvin Epstein and Tony Award winner Elizabeth Franz. Check it out.
