On Top of the World! In the Heights' Exuberant Broadway Opening
Composer, lyricist, star and all-around conceptual genius Lin-Manuel Miranda and his talented In the Heights cast had an exuberant Broadway opening on March 9 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Miranda started his journey with this highly energized musical about the life of bodega owner Usnavi and his tight-knit community of sunny Washington Heights neighbors over five years ago. The musical, after its successful off-Broadway opening last summer, has been eagerly waiting for its Broadway debut.
