A Lavish Affair for Laugh Whore
Sometimes a Whore ends up at the top of the heap. Mario Cantone's Laugh Whore, which opened on Broadway on October 24, got the royal treatment at the opening night party at the Rainbow Room. How so? Well, first of all, it was the Rainbow Room and all that implies: spectacular views, swingin' band and celebrities galore. Of course, the comedic one-man show, directed by Joe Mantello, is being backed by Showtime, whose tagline was once, "No limits." Noting the show's outrageous material and sumptuous fete, they aren't kidding!
