Immediately before the April 17 performance of Lestat, Hugh Panaro, who plays the title role in the big-budget musical, joined guests at a dinner benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation. John's Lestat writing partner Bernie Taupin also greeted the crowd at the event, held at Broadway's Hard Rock Café, just south of the Palace Theater. Broadway.com dropped by to check out the scene.
