Lucky Guy is a dramatic retelling of the career of famed New York tabloid columnist Mike McAlary, who rose to newspaper stardom in the late '80s and early '90s with a series of high-profile cases and investigative reporting. The show charts the development of McAlary’s Pulitzer Prize-winning career, as well as the evolution of his marriage, family and health. (He died of colon cancer at age 41 in 1998.)
