What do Sarah Jessica Parker, Aretha Franklin, Matthew Broderick, Muhammad Ali, Mel Brooks, Julia Roberts, Derek Jeter, Rudy Giuliani and Broadway's
Mamma Mia! have in common? They all have sandwiches honoring them at New York's famous Stage Deli! (You knew that, right?)
Mamma Mia! is the first Broadway show to be distinguished in such a delicious way. To celebrate the occasion, stars Carolee Carmello, Liz McCartney and Judy McLane headed for the Stage Deli on December 2. They had to be careful, of course--those costumes
are spandex. For the record, the
Mamma Mia! sandwich is an over-stuffed triple-decker of corned beef, turkey and swiss cheese on rye bread. (Make ours with mustard.)
