Royalty has arrived on Broadway, as
Janet McTeer and
Harriet Walter took their opening night bows in
Mary Stuart, Schiller’s battle of wits between Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots. With McTeer in the title role and Walter as the Virgin Queen, this rare Broadway revival has history buffs (and fans of great acting) salivating. After the opening night performance on April 19 at the Broadhurst Theatre, the stars and first nighters headed up to Tavern on the Green to celebrate. Who else was there? Broadway.com, naturally!
