Rock and roll fans first got to know Brenda and Eddie back in 1977, when a talented piano man from Long Island named Billy Joel introduced the high school sweethearts in the song "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" on his breakthrough album The Stranger.
Now Brenda and Eddie are on Broadway, along with a bunch of their friends, in the Tony-winning musical Movin' Out. "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" as well as the complete songbook of five-time Grammy winner Joel, which features countless story-driven songs, inspired modern dance maestro Twyla Tharp. With Joel's blessing, Tharp created her own story around the songs--of two turbulent American decades for a group of lifelong friends--and brought it to the Broadway stage to critical hosannas.
