Next to Normal Gets a Next to Magnificent Opening

It was worth the wait! A year after its off-Broadway bow, an revised and refined Next to Normal opened at Broadway’s Booth Theatre on April 15. This (highly) original musical about a family dealing with the mother’s bipolar illness features a dynamic cast led by Alice Ripley and J. Robert Spencer. After an enthusiastic opening night ovation, the cast and first-nighters celebrated at the Edison Ballroom. Never mind Normal—this show is exceptional! Take a look.
