Eleven years before the Billy Elliot boys were nominated for a Tony Award together, Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner paved the way with a joint Best Actress nomination for playing conjoined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton in the Broadway musical Side Show. The ladies have been fast friends ever since, and Skinner caught Ripley’s latest tour-de-force performance, in the Broadway musical Next to Normal, on May 16. After the show, the two had a happy reunion backstage at the Booth Theatre, along with yet another famous Side Show alum. Take a look!
