Ragtime is an ensemble musical filled with starring roles, a kaleidoscope of intersecting plotlines and a cast of 40. How, then, to introduce the forthcoming Broadway revival’s six leading players? The show’s producers had the bright idea of capturing the actors’ transformation from their 21st-century selves into the 1901-era characters they play.
