His newest movie, Funny People, is now out in theaters, which means Hollywood golden boy and director/writer Judd Apatow has comedy on the brain—so it’s a no-brainer that he and wife Leslie Mann headed to one of Broadway’s musical knee-slappers for a few extra laughs on August 4. The helmer and his muse (Mann has appeared in several of Apatow’s flicks, including Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin, and always steals the scene) rocked out hardcore at Rock of Ages, flashing metal signs like seasoned arena veterans throughout the hair band hit. While the pair was excited to meet the cast once the curtain fell, it was the Rock of Agers themselves who were most amped about the visit. Leading man Constantine Maroulis even Twittered about being nervous to meet one of his comic idols face to face. So what happened when two of Hollywood’s funniest met a whole band of Broadway’s best?
