As Rachel Dratch Stints in Spalding Gray: Stories, Stars of Spring Awakening Cheer Her On
On their night off from Spring Awakening on Broadway, Jonathan Groff, Brian Charles Johnson and Jonathan B. Wright headed downtown to the Minetta Lane Theater to catch their former Spring Authority Figure Frank Wood (who appeared with them when the Duncan Sheik musical premiered at off-Broadway's Atlantic Theater Company last spring) in his latest show, Spalding Gray: Stories Left to Tell. As a special perk, April 10 was also Saturday Night Live star Rachel Dratch's first night guest-starring in the acclaimed new off-Broadway play, which uses a set cast of four (plus a rotating guest star spot) to restore, reclaim and reaffirm the idiosyncratic texts of the late monologuist for a new audience.
