The six leading ladies of the first-ever Broadway production of Steel Magnolias greeted members of the press on February 15 at Trattoria Dopo Teatro in midtown Manhattan. Also on hand was playwright Robert Harling (who also wrote the smash movie version of his long-running off-Broadway sensation) and director Jason Moore (Avenue Q). Annelle, Clairee, M'Lynn, Ouiser, Shelby and Truvy start performances at the Lyceum Theatre on March 15.
