Renowned actress Shirley MacLaine took a trip to the Lyceum Theatre on June 12 to visit the starry cast of Broadway's Steel Magnolias. As you probably know, MacLaine starred in the popular 1989 film version of the play as the feisty Ouiser Boudreaux (played on Broadway by Marsha Mason). Besides her memorable role as the "irascible curmudgeon," MacLaine is best known for starring in films such as Around the World In 80 Days, Sweet Charity, Terms of Endearment and many more, including the new flick Bewitched. On stage she has performed in her very own Broadway revues such as Shirley MacLaine and Shirley MacLaine on Broadway. Take a look at the dog-crazy cast as they welcomed MacLaine backstage.
