Steel Magnolias Gets a Gorgeous Opening
After an enduring off-Broadway run in 1987 and the popular film version that won audiences hearts in 1989, Robert Harling's Steel Magnolias finally made it's way to Broadway, opening on April 4 at the Lyceum Theatre. The star-studded cast of this heartrending and comic tale of six women who laugh, cry, bond and get their hair done together includes stage favorites as well as newcomers. We caught up with these belles as well as the playwright and director Jason Moore at Tavern on the Green after the opening night performance. And yes, we think this cast's signature color is definitely pink!
