With quite a few Broadway debuts in the mix, the new stars of
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee began en masse on Tuesday, April 17, at midtown's Circle in the Square Theater. To celebrate the arrival of new spellers Aaron J. Albano, Stanley Bahorek, Jenni Barber, Sara Inbar and Greta Lee, as well as Jennifer Simard and the TV comedian Mo Rocca as the new authority figures, after the performance the producers threw a party for the cast, which was attended by the musical's composer William Finn, directly across the street from the theater at the Palm restaurant on West 50 Street.
