Party On Utopia! Lincoln Center Opens Shipwreck
Shipwreck, the second part of Tom Stoppard's epic trilogy The Coast of Utopia opened on December 21 at Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theatre. This portion of the play, which continues its theatrical exploration of three decades in 19th-century Europe that served to ignite the Russian revolution, allows company members (and Tony winners) Jennifer Ehle and Brian F. O'Byrne to drive the story, though the entire cast of 40 remain actively involved. Indeed, following the show's opening night curtain call, the company, which includes Ethan Hawke, Billy Crudup, Martha Plimpton and Amy Irving, gathered across the Lincoln Center plaza at Avery Fisher Hall for a festive party.
