The Country Girl's Star-Studded Opening Night
The revival of Clifford Odets The Country Girl had a big-city opening night on April 27. Directed by the ever-in-demand Mike Nichols, the play stars Morgan Freeman, Frances McDormand and Peter Gallagher in a drama about liquor, loyalty and backstage politics. Arriving at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, Julia Roberts, Steve Martin, Natalie Portman, Kirsten Dunst and Denis Leary kept the flashbulbs popping. Later, at the low-key after-party at Tavern on the Green, the three leads and their supporting players posed for pictures. Take a look!
