A Dynamite Opening for The Drowsy Chaperone
There are no fans like musical theater fans, and now with the triumphant opening of The Drowsy Chaperone on May 1, musical theater fans have a musical to call their own. The darling show features Bob Martin as an aficionado sharing a favorite relic (yes, also called The Drowsy Chaperone) with the audience. Speaking of audiences, the opening night crowd was filled to the brim with the faces of Broadway. Actors, singers, dancers, directors, musicians, producers... Everyone was present and accounted for, which led to a spirit of camraderie and celebration. The cast, creators and a cavalcade of well-wishers headed to Tavern on the Green after the performance to eat, drink and air-kiss into the wee hours. Take a look!
