The winner of the Tony Award® for Best Musical is The Outsiders. This classic coming-of-age story takes you to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967, where Ponyboy Curtis, his best friend Johnny Cade, and their family of Greaser “outsiders” dream about who they want to become in a world that will never accept them. The Outsiders features a “tuneful and soul-bearing” (New York Stage Review) original score, “high-octane choreography” (New York Magazine), and a “sensational young cast” (The Wall Street Journal) that brings the show to life.
There is a rain effect on stage. Drops of water and small rubber pieces from the stage floor may land in or near the first two rows of the Orchestra section (rows A and B).
"I absolutely loved this production!!! It was a dream come true to travel from Melbourne Australia to see this in NYC and it did not disappoint. From the performance to the stage setting, I could not say a bad word as it was so moving, it brought me to tears. Outstanding in every way and highly recommend!!!"

Best thing I've seen live
"I love this book and movie so I knew I'd enjoy myself, but it also meant I thought I wouldn't be as emotionally impacted by the story. Despite knowing the plot, the performace touched me and I was remarkably invested the entire time. I was absolutely engrossed. The choreography was just incredible. The vocals gave me chills so many times I lost count. I cannot recommend this show enough. The only thing I did in NYC was see this show and it was worth every penny and the long bus rides to the point I may do it again soon. That's how special this show is. If you have the opportunity to see it, take it. You won't regret it."

A Must See
"I loved the book and movie as a teenager and the musical did not disappoint! Saw this with my 18 year old daughter and she’s now a huge fan as well. Everything about this show is outstanding - the cast, music, staging - everything! If you’re going to New York, get tickets! You won’t be disappointed. "

See this Show!
"If you are looking for a great show that will bring back memories of the original book & movie - Go see The Outsiders! The story stayed close to the book, and a few of the songs can be real tear jerkers. Our cast performed like ROCK STARS. Super strong vocals and a lot of the actors were in their first Broadway show. Great job!
See this Show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Amazing
"The production of this show was fantastic as was the talent. Moved to tears during one sequence and the show was over before we knew it. It’s been years since I read the book or watched the movie so I wasn’t preoccupied by any deviation from originals. My whole family really loved it!"
