Phantom Takes Vegas, Baby!

The music of the night has attracted visitors to Las Vegas since the days of the Rat Pack, and now Andrew Lloyd Webber has brought his best-loved ballads to the desert in a streamlined version of The Phantom of the Opera. The show opened at a spectacular new theater inside The Venetian on June 24 with Lord Lloyd Webber, director Hal Prince and assorted notables in attendance. Broadway.com hopped a plane to take in the festivities.
