Even though he earned a Tony nomination for his work as Franz Liebkind in The Producers, Bialystock is the role he is now best known for. He has played it on tour, on Broadway and in London. As a matter of fact, he has done it over 1000 times. That is right—-on September 1, Oscar celebrated his momentous 1000 performance as shyster producer Max Bialystock.
