To celebrate opening day of the 2008 Radio City Christmas Spectacular, the Rockettes high-stepped it up to the observation deck of the Empire State Building on November 7, to flip a switch and turn the world’s most recognizable skyscraper green, red and white. Talk about a meeting of icons: You have New York’s most endeared lineup of dancers, who’ve been kicking it (literally) for 83 years atop New York’s greatest landmark, and it’s all in tribute to a show that’s become a beloved NYC holiday tradition.
