Onstage at the Booth Theatre on Broadway on Friday, January 4, following the curtain calls for the critically acclaimed production of Conor McPherson's The Seafarer, an impromptu event occurred to celebrate actor Jim Norton's 70th birthday. Lead by his castmates in an all-together-now moment, everyone in the entire theater sang "Happy Birthday" to the Seafarer star. Norton may portray a blind man in the play, but in real life he could happily see the affection and generosity of the crowd. And so could we. For a glimpse, click on.
