The Classic Stage Company production of Anton Chekhov's
The Seagull, starring Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest and Tony winner Alan Cumming, had a soaring opening night on March 13. In the production, directed by Viacheslav Dolgachev, Wiest plays the diva-actress-mother Irina Arkadina, with Cumming cast as Trigorin, her writer companion. The piece, which is about artistic people and their egos, appetites and selfishness, found a bevy of creative types attending the opening night at CSC's East Village digs. Take a look!
