A Night at the Opera, a Bash at the Roxy
After their opening night performance at Studio 54, the stars of Scott Elliott's brash revival of The Threepenny Opera gathered at another iconic New York City nightclub, the Roxy, to celebrate on April 20. With a cast that includes pop icon Cyndi Lauper, pop newcomer Nellie McKay and Tony winners Alan Cumming and Jim Dale, the show drew an eclectic crowd of first-nighters, while being officially sponsored and hosted by MAC, the glamorous cosmetics company. (The production's costume designer, Isaac Mizrahi, was excused from working the red carpet and enjoyed the party as a guest.) Take a look at who was there!
