In the 41 years since its founding, no one has accused New York's Roundabout Theatre Company of producing dinner theater. But in a gala benefit for itself on April 3 at the Chelsea Piers, they did exactly that. Offering a lavish dinner and a show which featured a parade of stars performing musical numbers from such Roundabout hits as
Cabaret, Big River, Nine, Assassins, as well as the current productions of
The Threepenny Opera and
The Pajama Game, Roundabout's Artistic Director Todd Haimes invited folks from the New York theater community to enjoy the company's past successes while helping to provide support for its future. With a guest list that was a veritable "who's who" of Broadway, check out the party!
