The Wedding Singer Parties On in Seattle!
On February 9, as the opening night curtain fell at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre on the out-of-town tuner The Wedding Singer, Broadway.com was in the soggy city to catch a rare exclusive glimpse of the festivities that followed. With an opening night bash thrown at the Hotel Monaco's Sezerac, the cast, crew, creative team, producers and some unexpected guests partied - as the tagline of the hit Adam Sandler-Drew Barrymore flick the musical's based on used to say - "like it's 1985!" Eating bride 'n' groom topped cupcakes and drinking salty margaritas, this company proved that after opening a Broadway-bound musical in the Pacific northwest, you tend to stay pretty sleepless in Seattle.
