It's back! West Side Story has triumphantly returned to the Great White Way with its official opening at the Palace Theatre on March 19. Legendary scribe/director Arthur Laurents reimagined his iconic show with more than a poquito of Spanish (with the help of translator Lin-Manuel Miranda) and a fresh look at iconic young lovers Maria (as played by Josefina Scaglione) and Tony (Matt Cavenaugh). After the cast took their bows at the Palace, they headed to Chelsea Piers for a party of fittingly epic proportions. This is one for the history books, folks.
