What's That Smell: The Music of Jacob Sterling opened at Atlantic Theater Company on September 10, kicking off the Atlantic's Stage 2 season. The comedy, which is penned and co-directed (along with Atlantic Artistic Director Neil Pepe) by Pittu, covers the career of fictional self-proclaimed genius Jacob Sterling, a third-rate musical theater composer who can't understand why his tunes (like the title song, "What's That Smell") aren't up there with Sondheim and Schwartz.
