As they say on Broadway, the show must go on. So that's exactly what happened at the Gershwin Theatre on January 9, at what was supposed to be the final performance for beloved Wicked leading lady Idina Menzel. Sidelined by an onstage accident the day before that left her with a fractured rib, Menzel passed on performing duties to standby and new star Shoshana Bean for the Sunday matinee. However, Menzel did still make an out-of-costume appearance in the final scenes of the show to the screams and flash bulbs of a theater filled with fans. Visibly moved, Menzel thanked the audience for their support and hugged director Joe Mantello (who gave a moving tribute speech) departing co-star Joey McIntyre and Jennifer Laura Thompson, who plays Glinda. As Thompson said, breaking character from her bubble high above the stage, "Fellow Ozians, I love Idina Me
