Wicked Hosts Starry Defying Inequality Benefit

Wicked has been spreading its message of tolerance, acceptance and bravery since it opened on Broadway in 2003, but it took its mantra to the next level on February 23, hosting the starry benefit concert, Defying Inequality, at the Gershwin Theatre. The gala event, hosted by How to Look Good Naked host, style guru Carson Kressley, and comedienne Judy Gold and featuring performances/appearances by everyone from Tony Award winner Bebe Neuwirth to television’s Keith Olbermann to the cast of Tony Award winner Marc Shaiman’s politcial musical Prop 8 and then some (and by then some we mean a whole stage full of stars), feted the equal rights organizations Family Equality Council, Empire State Pride Agenda, Equality California, Garden State Equality
