The Book of Mormon follows two young missionaries who are sent to Uganda to try to convert citizens to the Mormon religion. One missionary, Elder Price, is an enthusiastic go-getter with a strong dedication to his faith, while his partner, Elder Cunningham, is a socially awkward but well meaning nerd whose tendency to embroider the truth soon lands him in trouble. Upon their arrival in Africa, Elders Price and Cunningham learn that in a society plagued by AIDS, poverty and violence, a successful mission may not be as easy as they expected.
"Funny silly show if you don't mind jokes being sometimes crude. Some people will find it offensive, but it's kind of hard to tell ahead without spoilers. The music is good but not memorable. Really enjoyable the first time, I can't imagine there are many in the audience that have seen it before. "

Irreverent Look
"The play was good and the cast is great. The theatre is very small and the seats are uncomfortable which dampers enthusiasm a bit. great play but not for the easily offended."

Ok
"Audio was tough at times. More middle school humor than satire. "

Talented actors
"I thought the actors and vocals were amazing, incredibly talented. I gave it a 3 star review based on my preference for entertainment, I found parts of it funny but overall not my kind of show in terms of humor (ie too much sexual humor)"

Very funny, but tipping the scale on vulgarity at times.
"I have heard of the play for years, and was pleased with the opportunity to see it on Broadway. The performance was filled with very talented actors, and were a pleasure to watch. All and all my wife and I found the show very entertaining and funny; and are glad we saw it. I knew this show would contain lots of profanity, sexual humor, etc. With that said, we were a little taken back by the level of vulgarity a couple of times.
Again, overall thoroughly enjoyed the performance and most of the humor. "

Personal opinion
"I think it might offend many of my friend the context. The visual middle finger and F… world is definitely no very family or child oriented. "

Unnecessarily vulgar
"The musical was good; however, it was fairly vulgar. We enjoyed the parts where the morons were on screen but when they were in Uganda, it was extremely vulgar. We had a teen with us and she thought it was too much for her and unfortunately we left at the second half. It’s our fault that we should have read the reviews before we went but we had heard really good things about the show and had wanted to see it. "

Not what I expected
"I know Trey Parker and Matt Stone have a no holds bar attitude when it comes to comedy but the one part that really bothered me was the part about having sex with a baby, THAT WASN'T NECESSARY. They crossed the line. I'm not a prude by any means but when it comes to children, they are sacred, rape of a child or anyone is funny. I totally enjoyed the rest of the show, even parts that made me cringe. The baby part made me angry."
