London’s hottest ticket arrives on Broadway this Spring with Academy® and Tony Award® winner Eddie Redmayne reprising his Olivier Award-winning performance as the Emcee, and introducing Gayle Rankin as the Toast of Mayfair, Sally Bowles.
"Myself and my daughter came to the show for her sweet 16. She opted out of a party to see her favorite show with the privilege of sitting table side, 2nd row with a wonderful dining experience, champagne 🥂 was good too. When you walk into the Kit Kat Klub you have left the world behind. My daughter is such a huge admirer of Eddie Redmayne. He saved her life so he is a hero in my book. A beautiful soul he is for taking a moment from other fans to give us his undivided attention 🥰; and accepting her portrait she painted of him with a very personal inscription on the back. We wish we knew how it was received when he finally had a chance to look at it. The entire cast was lively, and fun. Comical, yet so serious. I don’t know what was funnier at times, what they were doing during performances or their ability not to break character. The seriousness of the underlying fabric to the whole story is powerful. I would see it a 1000 times if I could ❤️ Thank you to everyone that made the show possible, crew, lighting, orchestra, performers, the theater…you made it the most magical moments for a young lady and one of the proudest moments as a mom. "This version played up the ominous coming storm of Nazi Germany underlying the decadence of the club’s entertainment. Eddie Redmayne was excellent and even creepier than either Alan Cumming or Joel Grey.

"From the moment we entered, actually even before. We knew an amazing performance was coming. We were led to a back door, upon entering were greeted by an ensemble of musicians playing lively Moroccan tunes, given complementary Cherry Schops, and seated in a 80-ye old nightclub. Troupe was decadent, bazaar. Emcee was eccentric, mezmerizing. The story was new, and old. We forget the decadence of pre-war 1930’s decadence, but are reminded of the danger of nationalism and antisemitism. The performance teaches a history lesson, warns of present dangers, and delights the audience with talented performers in exotic pwrformances.
