Willkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome to the Kit Kat Club. Home to an intimate and electrifying new production of Cabaret. Experience this groundbreaking musical like never before.
The denizens of the Kit Kat Club have created a decadent sanctuary inside Broadway’s August Wilson Theatre, where artists and performers, misfits and outsiders rule the night. Step inside their world. This is Berlin. Relax. Loosen up. Be yourself.
London’s hottest ticket arrives on Broadway this Spring with Academy® and Tony Award® winner Eddie Redmayne reprising his Olivier Award-winning performance as the Emcee, and introducing Gayle Rankin as the Toast of Mayfair, Sally Bowles.
"We were in Row E of the mezzanine and still I felt like I was three feet away from the action. It was that explosive and affecting. The cast was superb, and not just Eddie Redmayne, Gayle Rankin, and Bebe Neuwirth. Also, Ato Blankson-Wood as Cliff, Steven Skybell as Herr Schultz, Hennry Gottfried and Ernst Ludwig, and Natascia Diaz and Fraulein Kost. They were all splendid!
I particularly loved how the Emcee (Redmayne!) especially, and to some extent also, the kit-kat girls, blended their sexuality with a kind of marionette body language (jerky movements, sudden stops), which made them seem not only sensual but also mechanical, as if even they and their oblivion and ribald performances were fueled by and fueling the Nazi machine outside of the club. Redmayne was masterful in this regad, as well as overall.
Part of the reason I felt so immersed in the show was the stagecraft--the use of the circular stage with many concentric circles that dropped and lifted actors on and off stage, as well as elevated them above the stage. This made for dramatic entrances and exits, but also many levels to the performances.
Speaking of levels, the musicians are located on either side of the auditorium up high above the action. On the mezzanine, we had a good view of them and could appreciate their many contributions to the drama on stage, not merely providing accompaniment for the singing.
The pre-show from 6:30-7:30 was tremendous as well, really setting the mood for the show and offering wonderful music and "kit-kat worthy" performances before entering the auditorium. We did the special meal in the Pineapple Room as well, which was dlicious, wonderfully executed, and offered private bathrooms without long lines--very much worth it.
I loved this show and thought every Tony nomination it received was well-deserved--only wish it would have won more of them. But it did win for scenic design, which was outstanding."

"I have seen a lot of shows on broadway in many different settings, but stage side table seats for this show were the most amazing seats with an experience that went way beyond any expectation I had. I don't think I will see another show that I enjoy more. It's worth the price to sit stage side ... OMG, it's going to be a long time before I come off this cloud 9 I'm on."

"We enjoyed the atmosphere and entertainment before the actual show, which made us feel as if we had stepped back in time to 1930’s Berlin. The show itself was visually exciting and very entertaining. "

"Eddie Redmayne’s transformative performance was worth it alone. It was fascinating to see the familiar show unfold with no set. The energy and commitment of the entire cast was electric and the entrances through and interaction with the audience was very effective. The stage side dining option added a lot to the experience, but was overpriced and there was not enough time to enjoy the meal from the time we were seated and served. We had to rush to finish in time to also use the restroom. Still, this was one of the most exciting theatrical experiences I have had."

"This is a fun adaptation of the show. Would not recommend to any parents that don't want to explain sex, Natzi's in WW2, or the mention of abortion to their children, the lady next to me left for that reason. I sad mid mezz and had a great view. I recommend going to see the pre show stuff. I spent most of my time at the vault watching the performances there. "

"From the moment you entered the theatre you were brought back in time to the Kit Kat Club. The story is gut wrenching. The characters from Emcee to Sally to the dancers, each uniquely portrayed and wove together the story. Was brought to tears several times. It’s a must see!!! Every cast member so very talented, orchestra was incredible, choreography and staging so well done. I 100% would recommend this show. "

"I liked the whole presentation, excellent actors, dancers and singers (some all-in-one). The historical story behind about Berlin 1920 is very well counted. For a non-english-born, some actors are difficult to understand, others very well."

"I loved this rendition and I've seen Cabaret at least 3 times on broadway. Instead of the queer leaning of the version with Alan Cummings... I would say it was more liberalism vs nationalism. I also really appreciated the diversity on the stage as this is usually a pretty white cast.
The entire cast was great, the 360 degree stage was amazing and the preshow entertainment was fascinating. I'd love to go back and sit at one of the tables.
I was really curious out the end would be given the 360 stage and the iconic ending... but man did this blow the historical ending out of the water.
Major props to the security and ushers there... that's a tough set up to keep everyone safe and running smoothly. "

" Beginning immediately upon arrival at the theater, Cabaret offers an immersive and captivating experience. The vault bar pre-show experience transports you to a different place and a different time. The theater is masterfully arranged to provide a true cabaret feel from the second you enter. Eddie Redmayne gives a unique and unforgettable performance. "

"The performance was absolutely breathtaking! I loved every minute of it. Upon entering the theatre, you're immediately captured by the atmosphere of the Kit Kat Club, including a glass of Schnapps:). But very soon you realize that you wouldn't need any of it, because the actors are so talented and the music is so beautiful that it speaks for itself. This is one of the best musicals I've ever seen! Skip the Lion King and go see this classic!"

"I loved the show. The actor who played Herr Schultz had a voice like an angeI. I expected Eddie Redmayne and Bebe Neuwirth to be great and they were, but so was everyone else.
The songs were great.
The only thing that I didn’t love was the pre-show music but I understand that it was the music of that time.
I’m going to see it again with friends."
