About Good Night, and Good Luck

Tune in to the golden age of broadcast journalism and Edward R. Murrow’s (George Clooney) legendary, history-altering, on-air showdown with Senator Joseph McCarthy. As McCarthyism casts a shadow over America, Murrow and his news team choose to confront the growing tide of paranoia and propaganda, even if it means turning the federal government and a worried nation against them.

Under the direction of Tony Award®-winner David Cromer, from the original screenwriters Clooney and Grant Heslov, Good Night, and Good Luck chronicles a time in American history when truth and journalistic integrity stood up to fearmongering and disinformation—and won.

Powerful
"Powerful and still so relative to today’s times. Top notch set design, musical selection, electronic media tie in and impeccable acting"

Very timely and relevant today
"Winter Garden is an excellent venue. Our mezzanine seats were perfection. Love a 90 minute play with no intermission. We enjoyed this trip back in time. This all happened before we were born. The music/songs were a highlight. The 1952 commercials and ads were fun. Never heard of White Rain shampoo. Clooney was Murrow down to the detail of looking a little cigarette grey. Gave my husband and I something to talk about which is always good. 👍 How did McCarthy get away with this nonsense and so many similarities to today. The lies and casualness of ruining lives. "

Good Night Good Luck - great show!!
"We had a wonderful time. Lots of poignant messages still true today. The cast is very devoted to their trade, including George. Tremendous acting all around. The radio singer was awesome. Nice touch bringing in historical film clips of the day. We'll done! "
