Broadway audiences now know what sold-out crowds in Boston, Seattle and San Diego have known for some time: Memphis is an electrifying musical smash. The original tuner, which played gigs in all of these theater towns before opening on October 19 at the Shubert Theatre, features songs you actually want to sing, characters you actually care about and some of the best dancing currently found on the Broadway stage.
