When a violent storm sinks their whaling ship off the coast of New Bedford, Mass., the four survivors face a reckoning: how far will they go to stay alive? And can they live with the consequences?
"A classic shipwreck survival story told with a very tight narrative and excellent stagecraft. As an added benefit, the music of the Avett Brothers is woven in throughout the story. Superb acting in helping to bring this story to life. Highly recommend this production!"

"This musical was an amazing production that allowed for a concise performance of some of Avett Brothers’ classics. The story was fascinating, the acting superb, the singing was astounding and the show kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. Dark and desperate, at times funny and lighthearted, with a few twists I really didn’t see coming. Great show. "

"Avett fans are in for a treat. Songs we love have been arranged and lyrics changed to fit the story. The actors are amazing and the design of the whole show is fantastic. Harmonies are amazing. We enjoyed it very much. We also enjoyed the runtime.
I’d be interested to know how people who are unfamiliar with The Avett Brothers connected with the music and how it helped tell the story. "

"What a terrific show built around the amazing music of the Avett Brothers. It is at once playful, tragic, excruciating and existential. It really helps to be a lover of the Avett Brothers catalog, as I am, but I don’t think it’s necessary to feel the impact of this story. The cast is fantastic and while the stage may look one-dimensional, wait until the back half of the show! I think this one is going to get some hard Tony looks. "
