"What a terrific show built around the amazing music of the Avett Brothers. It is at once playful, tragic, excruciating and existential. It really helps to be a lover of the Avett Brothers catalog, as I am, but I don’t think it’s necessary to feel the impact of this story. The cast is fantastic and while the stage may look one-dimensional, wait until the back half of the show! I think this one is going to get some hard Tony looks. "

"This was a show that my husband really wanted to see. So we did go, and I must tell you, I was not disappointed at all. The show was incredible, from the beginning to end, and I am glad that I did go to see it. I always hope to come away from any musical with at least one song to treasure and remember. Original and worth seeing
"Stellar performances, staging. choreography, and direction. Innovative and original. Music was reimagined brilliantly. Only drawback was a thinness in the story. Overall, that did not matter. Still highly entertaining and worth seeing. Audiences must be warned, however that the subject matter is quite dark and it is not suitable for young people."
