A lively stage adaptation of the Academy Award-winning 1994 Disney film, The Lion King is the story of a young lion prince living in the flourishing African Pride Lands.
When an unthinkable tragedy, orchestrated by Simba’s wicked uncle, Scar, takes his father’s life, Simba flees the Pride Lands, leaving his loss and the life he knew behind. Eventually companioned by two hilarious and unlikely friends, Simba starts anew. "This is my third time watching Lion King in Broadway. The overall performances, stage design, casts, props were fantastic. My kids and I loved it.
The only thing I’d mention is that there were some ( not sure if they come from other Lion King movies?) songs and music in the show which weren’t that amusing to us, as we were expecting the real life version of Lion King animation. The taste of those songs/music that seemed a bit different from the animation movie. But overall I loved every minute, every essence of the musical. Thank you for the great show! "
